Arbi Masala


Arbi(Yam		500 gms.
Tomatoes		3-4
Ginger paste		1 tbsp.
Cashew paste		1 1/2 tbsp.
Ajwain (thyme)			1 tsp.
Garam masala powder	1 tsp.
Turmeric		1/2 tsp.
Water			300 ml.
Oil			4-5 tbsp.
Salt			To taste
For garnishing:
Chopped coriander leaves As required and green chillies

  1. Cut the tomatoes into small pieces.
  2. Heat oil. Add ginger paste, ajwain and fry for one minute. Add cashew paste, turmeric, and stir. Add tomatoes and salt and stir and cook till oil separates and the tomatoes are soft. Add garam masala powder and water bring it to a boil.
  3. Add boiled or fried arbi, stir well and let it simmer for 3 minutes.
  4. Garnish with chopped coriander and green chillies.
