Cholar Dal


Bengal Gram		1 cup
Oil			3 tbsp.

Seasoning:
Cinnamon(powder)	1/4 tsp.
Cardamoms		2 nos.
Cloves			2 nos.
Bay leaf		1
Cumin powder(roast	1 tsp.
and ground)
Turmeric		1 tsp.
Chilli powder		1 tsp.
Salt			To taste

  1. Boil the dal with salt, turmeric powder and 5 cups of water.
  2. Heat oil and add pounded spices and bay leaf and fry for 30 secs.
  3. Pour fried seasoning into hot dal and mix thoroughly and serve.
