Channar Puli (Bengali)


Condensed milk			1/2 tin
Paneer(cottage cheese)		250 gms
Plain flour			6-7 tbsp
Baking powder			1/2 tsp
Ghee/margarine			1 tbsp
Oil				For frying
Sugar				1 1/2 cups
Water				2 cups
 

  1. Knead condensed milk, paneer, plain flour and baking powder with ghee to a smooth sticky dough.
  2. Make sugar syrup with sugar and water.
  3. Heat oil in a pan. Roll out paneer mixture into elongated shapes and deep fry on medium heat till golden brown.
  4. Soak in syrup and serve hot.
