Lentil-rice Patties
Chopped onion 1 big
Any dal (cooked) 1 cup
Cooked rice 1/2 cup
Chopped walnuts 1/4 cup
Green chillies 2-3
Chopped coriander 2 tbsp
Breadcrumbs 1/2 cup
Chilli powder To taste
Oil For deep frying
Salt To taste
- Chop the onion. Heat 1 tbsp of oil and fry onions lightly.
- Add the cooked dal and rice, chopped nuts, chopped chillies
and coriander leaves.
- Add the seasonings according to taste. Cook the mixture till thick
like a lump.
- Add the breadcrumbs.
- Shape into rolls or patties and saute (shallow fry) till brown.
- Serve hot with tomato sauce.
