Lentil-rice Patties


Chopped onion			1 big
Any dal (cooked)		1 cup
Cooked rice			1/2 cup
Chopped walnuts			1/4 cup
Green chillies			2-3
Chopped coriander		2 tbsp
Breadcrumbs			1/2 cup
Chilli powder			To taste
Oil				For deep frying
Salt 				To taste

      

  1. Chop the onion. Heat 1 tbsp of oil and fry onions lightly.
  2. Add the cooked dal and rice, chopped nuts, chopped chillies and coriander leaves.
  3. Add the seasonings according to taste. Cook the mixture till thick like a lump.
  4. Add the breadcrumbs.
  5. Shape into rolls or patties and saute (shallow fry) till brown.
  6. Serve hot with tomato sauce.
