Malpua


Condensed milk			1/2 tin (150ml)
Semolina			100 gms
Plain flour			50 gms
Cottage cheese			50 gms
Water				3 cups
Sugar				1 1/2 cups
Baking powder			A pinch
 

  1. Put sugar and 2 cups of water in a pan and bring it to a boil. Boil it for 5 minutes. Keep aside.
  2. Combine condensed milk, semolina, flour, 1 cup of water and baking powder. Mix well and leave for 10-15 minutes.
  3. Crumble cheese(paneer) very finely and add to the above mixture. Beat well.
  4. Heat 1 tsp of oil in a frying pan. Pour 1 tbsp of batter to make a small, flat malpua about 2 1/2" to 3" in diameter.
  5. Fry till both sides get evenly browned and the edges crisp.
  6. Soak in syrup for 1/2 minute. Remove from syrup and serve hot/cold.
