Okra Fry
Okra 375 gms
Onion 1 large
Crushed garlic 1 tsp
Red chilli powder 1 tsp
Yogurt/curd 1/3 cup
Green chillies 2
Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
Oil 3 tbsp
Salt To taste
- Cut the okra 1" pieces lengthwise.
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add finely chopped onion and fry until light brown.
- Add garlic and fry for a minute.
- Now add chopped okra and sliced green chillies. Fry on high heat
for three minutes and then add salt and turmeric.
- Lower the heat to medium, add yogurt and cook until yogurt is absorbed.
- Sprinkle cumen seed powder and remove from heat.
- Goes well with rice and/or paratha.
