Cheese Pakora


Cottage cheese(paneer)		1" wide, 1/4" thick, 2"long pieces (20)
Chickpea flour (besan)		1 cup
Yogurt				1/2 cup
Baking powder			a pinch
Mint leaves paste		1/2 tsp
Oil				For deep frying
Salt 				To taste

      

  1. Mix chickpea flour, yogurt, baking powder, mint leaves paste and salt together. The batter is ready.
  2. Heat oil in a pan on medium and when it is hot, dip each paneer piece in the above batter such that it coats both sides well and then drop it in oil.
  3. Do similarly for other pieces too. Cook on medium low heat evenly on both sides until light golden brown.
  4. Serve hot with mint chutney.
