Potatoes 500 gms
Bread 6 slices
Green chillies chopped 2
Coriander leaves chopped 2 tbsp
Pomegranate seeds powder 1/2 tsp
Garam masala 1/2 tsp
Oil For frying
Salt To taste
For mint chutney:
Mint leaves 1/2 bunch
Coriander leaves 1 bunch
Green chillies 3-4
Lime juice 2 tbsp
Salt To taste
- Grind the ingredients of the mint chutney together and keep aside.
- Boil the potatoes, remove the skin and grate and keep aside.
- Soak the bread slices in some water for 15 seconds and remove the
excess water.
- Mix the potato and bread together. Add green chillies, coriander leaves,
Pomegranate seed powder, garam masala and salt. Mix thoroughly and leave aside
for 15 minutes.
- Take small portion of the mix and make a ball out of it. Roll it with
rolling pin like thick roti.
- Apply a thin layer of the mint chutney on the rolled mixture. Roll one
more and cover it over the chutney layer. Press it slightly and keep aside.
- Make similar sandwiches with the remaining mix and mint chutney.
- Heat oil. Once the oil is hot, deep fry the sandwiches one after another.
- Serve hot with tomato sauce.
